Global account

[edit]

Hi 2005! As a Steward I'm involved in the upcoming unification of all accounts organized by the Wikimedia Foundation (see m:Single User Login finalisation announcement). By looking at your account, I realized that you don't have a global account yet. In order to secure your name, I recommend you to create such account on your own by submitting your password on Special:MergeAccount and unifying your local accounts. If you have any problems with doing that or further questions, please don't hesitate to ping me with {{ping|DerHexer}}. Cheers, —DerHexer (Talk) 16:42, 2 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

GGPoker draft review request

[edit]

Hey 2005, hope your sojourn to destress is going well! If you're feeling up to it, I'm looking for editors who have some experience with poker-related topics and I see that you've made a few edits to some relevant pages. I submitted a draft article about GGPoker on Articles for Creation a while ago, but it was declined. It has since been edited and I'm hoping to get some feedback from other editors to ensure that it meets Wikipedia's standards, or how it might do so. Full disclosure, I'm employed by NSUSLab, GGPoker's platform developer, so I have a financial conflict of interest, hence why I'm asking for feedback from other editors. Thanks for your time! Chris H (GGPoker) (talk) 07:42, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking the time to look over the draft. I saw you'd made a few edits and left an edit summary saying that it looks fine, which I really appreciate. Would you be willing to leave a comment on the draft to let other reviewers know your thoughts? Also, do you think it's worth resubmitting yet? I'm still trying to get editors to give feedback, and trying to make sure I give the draft the best shot possible. Chris H (GGPoker) (talk) 08:09, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Lottery card games indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! GGPoker Draft

[edit]

Hi again, 2005. After I reached out to you last, I resubmitted the draft and it's been waiting for re-review. I'm wondering if you'd be willing to leave a comment for reviewers or even take the draft live if that's appropriate? Alternatively, do you have any suggestions on how to get further feedback? I've reached out to a few editors who've edited poker-related pages, but only you reviewed the draft and I'm feeling a bit stuck. Thanks again for your help! Chris H (GGPoker) (talk) 05:58, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, 2005,

Please do not empty out categories so that they get tagged for speedy deletion. This is called "emptying categories out of process" and is discouraged. If you believe a category is unnecessary or redundant, please nominate it for deletion, renaming or merger at Categories for Discussion. Categories exist in a categorical hierarchy and what affects one category can impact others. Please take this route in the future. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 01:07, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
