Opppose for WP:SIZE reasons. The present article (excluding the section § Gay agenda) has about 4,600 words, while Gay agenda has over 1,500 words. The result of a merge would be that this one section would make up approximately one-quarter of the entire article, which seems out of proportion for just one subsection under § Anti-gay themes, which is itself a subtopic of the broader topic covered in the article. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 01:36, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose because of article size, and also, because of WP:COMMONNAME. "Gay agenda" is common term, with the result that this article has more pageviews than the article Anti-LGBTQ rhetoric does. I believe it makes sense to leave the content of the article under this common name, where people are finding and using it, rather than move it to a less common name where it will likely be used by fewer people. I'm considering adding a section on anti-bi rhetoric (such as that bi people are overly promiscuous, confused, attention seeking, etc.) I don't know that I have enough to make it a section of its own, but putting it under "anti-gay" rhetoric wouldn't be correct. Should that section's name be changed to anti-LGB rhetoric or something like that? Or should I make a new section anyways and hope it gets expanded upon?
